Privacy Policy for the app Treeceps

1. Introduction

Treeceps is designed to minimize the collection of personally identifiable information. Currently, no user data from the app is stored on servers owned by the developer. This Privacy Policy explains what data is processed, how it is handled, and the role of connected third-party services.

2. Data Collection and Processing

Treeceps collects the following types of data:

1. Physical Activity Data:

Data such as steps and stairs are collected via the preinstalled Health app and the HealthKit API on your iPhone.

2. Strength Training Workout Data:

Information regarding exercises and workout sets is generated and collected through user input.

3. Game Data:

Virtual rewards, such as progress counters (e.g., a flower that grows as you achieve your daily step goal), are collected based on your adherence to personal goals. While such data may indicate how frequently goals are met, it does not reveal the specific details of your fitness targets.

4. App Settings:

Preferences such as weight units (kg or lb) and sound activation settings are stored.

3. Data Storage and Synchronization

• Local Storage:

Data from sections 1 and 2 is stored locally on your device for visualization in the app.

• iCloud Sync (Optional):

If you enable iCloud Sync, data from sections 1, 2, 3, and most of 4 (except for certain individual settings like sound preferences) is stored in your personal iCloud account on Apple’s servers. This data is accessible only with your Apple ID and cannot be accessed by others, including the developer or Apple.

• Game Center Integration:

If you use the Apple Game Center feature, your virtual rewards (section 3) can be displayed and shared via your Game Center account. Note that your detailed fitness data or specific goals are not shared.

4. Use of the Apple Health App

Treeceps can read step and stairs data from the Apple Health app if you grant the necessary permissions. The app can read all step/stairs data saved by the Health app, but it can only delete entries that were created through Treeceps. To delete entries created by other apps, please use the respective app or the Health app’s deletion functionality.

5. Optional Location Access and Weather Data

You can optionally allow Treeceps to access your current location. This data is used solely to provide weather effects and forecasts within the app’s virtual world. Weather information is provided by Apple Weather. For more details, please review the Apple Weather Privacy Policy.

6. Third-Party Services

• Payment Processing:

RevenueCat is used for payment processing. A randomly generated user identifier is employed to track subscription status and in-app purchases. RevenueCat’s privacy practices are detailed in their Privacy Policy.

7. Data Deletion and User Control

• Local Data:

Data stored solely on your device (e.g., workout data, physical activity data, and game progress) is under your full control. You can delete this data by uninstalling the app or using your device’s data management tools.

• Data Stored via Third Parties:

For data stored through third-party services such as iCloud, Apple Health, or Apple Game Center, the management, deletion, and access to your data are handled by these service providers. The developer of Treeceps does not have direct access to or control over this data. To delete or access such data, please refer to the respective settings or contact the corresponding provider directly.

8. User Rights (For EU Users and Others)

You have the right to:

• Request access to your personal data.

• Request correction or deletion of your personal data.

• Object to or restrict the processing of your personal data.

• Receive your data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format.

Important Notice:

Since Treeceps stores data locally or via third-party services, the developer does not have direct control over the deletion, correction, or retrieval of data stored on your device or with providers such as Apple or RevenueCat. If you wish to exercise any of these rights regarding data stored by these third parties, please contact the respective service provider using their established procedures.

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Your use of the Treeceps app is always governed by the current version of this Privacy Policy. We recommend reviewing this page periodically to stay informed of any changes.
